Joany Gauvreau
"Dance is not about being perfect. It's about feeling alive, embracing your body, and discovering the confidence that has always been within you."
About:
My name is Joany Gauvreau, and I am the founder of Feminicity Belly Dance and the author of Feminicity: The Belly Dance Awakening, a book that explores the transformative power of dance for body, mind, and spirit. I am a belly dance instructor, author, and wellness educator based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. For over 20 years, I have helped women of all ages discover confidence, joy, strength, and self-expression through the art of belly dance.
Our mission is to empower women through the art of belly dance by creating a joyful and supportive community where movement becomes a path to confidence, health, creativity, and personal transformation. My classes are welcoming, supportive, and beginner-friendly. I believe every woman can dance, regardless of age, size, or experience. Belly dance is more than learning steps. It is a journey of reconnecting with your body, improving posture and mobility, building confidence, and celebrating who you are.
