Create an 8 x 10 picture frame using recycled plates and resin glass, inspired by the art of stained-glass mosaic. The combination of textures, colors, and recycled elements represents how memories can be pieced together from different moments in our lives. By using mosaic techniques like to stained glass art; turn ordinary objects into something eye-catching and personal.

Basic experience with scissors and crafting tools is recommended; supervised use of low-temp hot glue guns and X-Acto knives may be included. Each day includes a 15-minute outdoor snack break—please bring a snack and water. The camp concludes with a special art show for family and friends.

MC JUNIOR ARTISTS

Our lil’ youth artists class will teach an intermediate level of drawing, painting, mixed media, color resist, origami, watercolor, found texture-wax crayon resist, contour line drawing, hand sculpting clay, and many more.

All art lessons will teach a basic understanding of creating art with a purpose using line, color, value, shape, form space, and texture.

We will begin with an art classroom etiquette lesson to provide a more productive and efficient learning environment.

This class may be taken even if your lil’ artist does not have any previous art skills.
