It transports the audience to the geographic and mythical place that is the Mississippi River Delta and displays the many ways it has served as a profound cultural influence on the world. There would be no Beatles or Rolling Stones if it weren’t for Delta blues.

As with any Delta event, food and libations are going to be at the center. Delta Rising is no exception with various samples of delicious regional and ethnic foods available to the audience. Tamales, greens, kibbe, bar-b-q and more are prepared by Delta locals with recipes and stories passed down through generations. The audience members browse Delta inspired art collections available for purchase and meet the artists who created them.

During the show, our brilliant master of ceremonies shares stories of the Delta and its substantial culinary and musical influence on the world. Tying this one of a kind experience together, is authentic Mississippi music performed live throughout the show by a variety of world renown Delta musicians who bring Delta soul to any style or genre.
